Getting around

Transportation to/from/around Milwaukee

  • Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is an accessible, easily navigable mid-sized airport that currently offers nonstop flights to 35 destinations coast-to-coast, and more than 200 international destinations are available with just one connection. MKE is served by Air Canada, Alaska, American, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, and United. It is conveniently located just a 15-20 minute drive from the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center or from downtown Milwaukee.
  • The Milwaukee Intermodal Station serves as a hub for Amtrak, Greyhound, Megabus and city bus transportation. All of these options can get you anywhere, but the most popular route is the Amtrak Hiawatha train to Chicago. Twenty-five dollars and a relaxing 1.5-hour ride (with free Wi-Fi) will get you directly to Union Station in the heart of Chicago, without a worry of where to park your car.
  • No car? No problem.
    • Rideshare with Uber or Lyft
    • Hop on The Hop, downtown Milwaukee’s streetcar
    • Get around the city and select suburbs on a Bublr bike
    • Rent a car by the hour or day with Zipcar
